thanks Ariel! Totally agree there's no Amazon of ag (yet) ;)

Brenda Tjaden shared this in her newsletter earlier today that you may also find interesting!: https://www.bain.com/insights/helping-farmers-shift-to-regenerative-agriculture/?

it gets me very excited to see farmers able to shift $s away from big ag and back into the soil

A very thorough explanation.Thank you for explaining the make up reference! Haber Bosch might have been a litter before WWII. Looking forward to biologicals.

Thank you! Great catch — I didn’t realize Haber-Bosch was even before WWI (1913)! Will update that for future editions. This reminds me that I have been meaning to read the book “The Alchemy of Air” about the Haber-Bosch process.

another great ag history book is Nature's Metropolis by William Cronon. Highly highly recommend for understanding how our ag markets have evolved

Let us know if you recommend the book after you read it. It is ironic that the H-B process was used by Germans in WWI for bombs and today to grow food for billions of people. FYI the cheat sheet in Back of Envelope Math is best ever. Keep up your excellent work.
